by admin on Feb.24, 2010, under Where is Ze Moola?
LCL reported its earnings. It wasn’t pretty!Flashback:In the posting, More Comments On LCL, I highlighted LCL’s receivables. Trade receivables - 221.436 millionAmount due from customers for contract works - 154.107 millionAmount due from related companies - 41.641 million Assuming and having faith that all these receivables are in order, I would be concerned which of these figures are from its wor……

Every Decade Sure To Have Their Very Own "Dr. Doom"
by admin on Feb.24, 2010, under Malaysia Finance
We usually will laud the bullish experts who got things right. Many will despise the naysayers, the bearish buggers who seem to be always pessimistic. However, some of them have been prescient in their big calls, and deserve to be applauded. You will find them being tagged as the Dr. Dooms, and every decade seems to have a major one. As a Dr. Doom, they will shout loudest when they feel strongly a……

Good advice by Richard Russell
by admin on Feb.23, 2010, under Malaysian Turtle
So commented Richard Russell, editor of Dow Theory Letters, after the close of Monday’s trading, in which the Dow Jones Industrial Average /quotes/comstock/10w!i:dji/delayed (INDU 10,383, -18.97, -0.18%) finished a lackluster session with just an 18-point loss. The prior trading session — last Friday’s — was even less exciting, if that’s possible: The Dow gained just 9 points that day, prompting……

Market Direction Updated
by admin on Feb.23, 2010, under Malaysia Finance
Readers may remember me having said that I think the Malaysian market should outperform the rest of the Asian markets in 2010. I still stand by it. I also said that the FBM KLCI has the potential to touch 1,500 this year as a high. Now, that has been clouded somewhat. For the benefit of those who will be attending the upcoming talk on 6 March, I will be discussing two critical macro developments ……

Views On Malaysia Market Outlook In 2010
by admin on Feb.23, 2010, under Malaysia Finance
Malaysia’s stock market, the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI), rallied in 2009 as the global economic recovery, the revival of risk appetite and the government’s stock market liberalization attracted foreign investment. Nevertheless, compared to other equity markets in Asia, the KLCI’s performance was less stellar, given prospects of weak economic recovery in Malaysia, political instabil……

OSK Research upgrades Supermax, TP RM10
by admin on Feb.22, 2010, under Malaysian Turtle
If this stock hit RM 10, this would be my ten bagger stock call. Since the company is focussing on organic growth, to generate winning streaks earning growth will not be on a smooth path. One also needs to be mindful that rubber price has been on the uptrend, soon cyclical costs like energy cost and macro trend like Ringgit strength and etc will come into play. I’m, however, still deeply satisfied……
